Bat Logo
Bat logos include the central symbol of a bat with a typical color scheme of mostly black or brown shades. Bat logos are mainly designed as a company logo to depict an image of aggression and conquering. However, it is uncommon for companies to base their logos on bat logos as bats are also associated with dead and decay. Bats are a unique species and are mammals. These cave inhabitants are well-know to humans, especially in the west for the infamous Batman character. Batman has probably been the most popular case of mainstream use of the bat logo. Bat logo design is often not all that unique from other animal logos. Bat logos are preferred because of the clear cuts and being easy recognizable. Bat logos typically feature an animated version of a bat. They are usually made as two-color logos meaning that only two distinct colors are used in the logo design. It’s also been noticed that often the bat becomes such a important symbol for companies and franchise that they often do not put the company name with the symbol. The batman logo itself is two-colored which makes it very clear and recognizable at first sight. This is an important factor that should be kept in mind when making a bat logo. Or indeed any logo design. The yellow color in the bat logo is very focusing in the view of some onlookers whom this writer surveyed. Of course there are plenty of other examples where bats have been used in logos and indeed logo design. Some designers prefer to use an animated version of the bat while other may prefer a more real photograph of a bat. Still, there are some more who think a mere caricature of the bat’s exterior is enough of a representation to be called a bat logo.
