College Sports Logos & History Review

Most college sports logo designs are also classified as animal logos. The Northern Illinois University logo is based on a pink and black color scheme featuring the college mascot as the central animated icon. The University of Iowa features an animated black and white parrot with the name of the university in sentence case. College sports logos do not necessarily include their mascots as central logo designs. For instance, the sports logo for the Oklahoma City University is based on the graphic symbol “stars” with an animated star below the symbol. Almost all college sports logo designs are based on simple color scheme and abstract graphics.
