Television Logos
Logo design provides television networks a way to brand themselves. They can use the same logo to further their cause in other media such as on the internet and also in newspapers, billboards, banners, and magazines. In the end, television networks reach our home and thus we see their logos all the time.
Television network logos are some of the most viewed, recognized and respected logos around. I mean most of them are on the channel 24 hours, never change and remain there when you are watching your favorite channel. Even if you don’t watch a television network, chances are you recognize its logo as your scroll through all the channels on your TV.
Some major television networks have built on the fame of their logo design to further their viewing audience. Take the example of ABC. It may not be a television channel but it has successfully branded itself and its logo on Time Square is well known. It feeds in to their audience numbers one way or the other. Another example of a television network is Fox. They have it on a number of avenues aside from their network. You can often see the Fox logo on the internet and in print media.
Television network logos have to be simple and straightforward and be in line with the content on the network. Think of the logos of MTV, ABD, CBS, NBC, CNBC and MSNBC. They are simple, focus on the text so that you can instantly recognize which channel you are on and ideally don’t take much space.
